NaviFi ("we", "us") is a personal finance app built to help you track money without the busywork. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how you can manage or delete your data.
Solely to run the app's core features: showing your balances, transactions, and spending history back to you. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
If you turn on notification reading, the text of each notification from the apps you chose is sent to our server and on to OpenAI, which works out whether it is money in or out, the amount, the currency, the shop, and a suggested category. We do not store that text: it is used to answer the request and then discarded, and we ask OpenAI not to store it either, though OpenAI may keep it for a limited period for abuse monitoring under its own policies. The result comes back to your phone for you to review, and nothing becomes a transaction until you add it. You can turn this off at any time in the app or in Android's notification access settings.
Your data is stored in our database and is accessible to us (the NaviFi team/developer) for support, debugging, and security purposes. It also passes through the infrastructure providers we rely on to run the app — our authentication provider (Clerk), our database host, and our hosting provider — solely as needed to operate the service, under their own security commitments. If you turn on notification reading, those notifications are also processed by OpenAI, as described above.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest at the database level.
You have full control to request deletion of your account and associated data.
How to request deletion:
Delete NaviFi Account from the email address registered with your account.Data that will be permanently deleted:
Retention Period: Upon receiving your request, all account and transaction data will be permanently deleted immediately (for in-app deletion) or within 30 days (for email requests).
NaviFi is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
